Overview

REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production.  Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.  We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.

Responsibilities

Real  Alloy is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor with responsibilities as the Maintenance Planner at our secondary metal processing plant in Wabash, Indiana.

 

This position will manage hourly union mobile equipment mechanics and scheduling to assure work is planned and assigned to employees to meet the plant needs.  As the Maintenance Planner you will guide the maintenance team by determining predictive maintenance, scheduling of work orders, and ordering material and kitting parts for maintenance projects throught out the plant.

 

In addition, this role will sustain and improve planning and procurement functions required to efficiently sustain and improve plant equipment following guidelines of all safety, environmental, governmental policies and regulations, and other Real Alloy policies.

 

This is a Monday-Friday day shift position.  Overtime required as needed.

Qualifications

 

  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school plus five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of related industrial experience, including planning, maintenance, and direct supervision.
  • Technical and managerial skills are required in this position, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong decision making and critical thinking skills including the ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is required.
  • Working knowledge of aluminum processes is a plus.
