REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production.  Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.  We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of the maintenance department at the Real Alloy plant in Friendly, WV.  The Maintenance Manager will oversee and direct employees in a safe, quality minded and productive manner to attain production priorities as scheduled. 

 

Primary Duties: 

  • Analyzes severity and prioritizes equipment issues to minimize plant down time as well as maximize plant productivity 
  • Inspects repairs for structural soundness and possible methods to improve operations and cost effectiveness 
  • Conduct plant walk-arounds to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification and surveillance activities, and to provide input for refining and improving work package quality 
  • Schedules equipment facility shutdown with production department
  • Monitor and participate in control of maintenance budget 
  • Leads in developing and implementing improvement action plans to ensure year over year improvement in critical plant metrics 

The Maintenance Manager must have excellent management skills, be decisive and always set a good example for other team members while having a positive attitude and work toward continuously improving plant operations. 

Qualifications

*Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from four year college or university in engineering with strong leadership potential is preferred; or equivalent of directly related experience.

*Possess general knowledge and proficiency in general business and the ability to use computer applications, such as spreadsheets, word processing documents, databases and email programs.

*Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

*Possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

*Creativity and innovation for implementation of new programs and employee involvement.

*Capability of managing multiple projects and deadlines.

*Ability to work varied hours with on call and travel occasionally.

*Ability to motivate and develop team members to maximize performance.
