Responsibilities

 

Real Alloy Specification in Wabash, Indiana has an opening for a Commercial Settlement Administrator.  This role will coordinate and process metal scrap settlement activity for the metal purchasing department and submit to accounts payable.

 

This role requires advanced Excel skills, familiarity with accounts payable and settlement platforms, and a problem-solving mindset focused on detail.  If you possess the ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment we want to talk to you.  

 
In the Commercial Settlement Administrator role you will be responsible for completing the following tasks:

 

  • Coordinate processing of settlement documentation including receiving report, lab reports, processing reports etc. within the department.
  • Coordinate discussions between the Receiving Department and the raw material purchasing department concerning discrepancies and metal analysis or weight discrepancies.
  • Settle loads and enter information into the system for payment. As part of the settlement work there is customer/vendor reporting that must be done outside of settlements daily reporting.
  • Print and email supplier/customer final settlements, including weight tickets and shippers’ information if requested by customer.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to record settlement history.
  • Coordinate and prepare reports and documents for supplier/customer and corporate reporting as needed.
  • Toll Conversion and Buy/Sell for commercial accounts. Includes keeping weekly and monthly reports as required, publish monthly prices as required for purchase orders.  Confirming invoices for payment for all commercial loads for Real Alloy. Process toll settlements and maintain toll workbooks.
  • Responsible for supplier/customer reporting as assigned to meet supplier/customer communication needs.
  • Complete month end reports and balances on timeline provided.

Qualifications

  • High School degree required.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4-7years experience in a customer service role, manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • 2 or more years of working knowledge in business and process improvement.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and multi-task. Must be able to influence and work with all levels of employees.
  • Very strong mathematical and analytical skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Detail oriented paying close attention to accuracy ensuring that the settlement process is completed correctly.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, ethical and challenge driven.
  • Proven ability to function successfully with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. Experience with Oracle preferred.
