REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. We have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill. This position will be located in MISSISSAUGA, CANADA.
This role involves performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, mobile machinery, gas lines, overhead doors, and dock leveling systems while ensuring a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, determining root causes, implementing corrective measures, and assembling machinery using various tools. Occasional after-hours service calls may be required.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of Millwright experience in a foundry or similar industry, holding a red seal certificate or progressing through a 433A apprenticeship. They can work independently, interpret blueprints and schematics, and operate various equipment. Welding experience is preferred. Communication skills, basic computer literacy, and mathematical proficiency in both empirical and metric measurements are essential. Additionally, they are skilled in dismantling, repairing, aligning, and reinstalling mechanical components and adept at using both powered and non-powered tools for fabrication.
