We are currently seeking individuals with mechanical backgrounds to join our team of dedicated and safety focused mechanics. You will become part of a team that maintains and repairs machines that are dedicated to pulling recyclable material out of material already recycled. This process reduces landfill trips by another 30% and needs mechanics who are dedicated and looking for a position with challenges and purpose.

Real Alloy offers a RETENTION BONUS: 

$300 at 90 days

$1,000 at 9 months

  • A willingness to learn new skills and trade practices associated with industrial maintenance. 
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment. 
  • Weld fabrication and repairs.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. 
  • Piping installation and repair 
  • Consulting and working with production operators to ensure smooth running of all equipment. 
  • Inspect the working parts of equipment to determine problem areas if breakdown occurs. 
  • Assist the Maintenance Lead-person/Maintenance Supervisor, Engineers and/or Operations Management with the   design, ideas, installation and maintenance of all needed plant repairs, and projects.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles when needed. 
  • Perform record keeping and data collection as required. 
  • Participate in safety, quality and environmental meetings and training, as required. 
  • Follow all safety, quality, environmental and other company policies. 

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Highly motivated, goal oriented, ethical, and challenge driven.
  • Ability to work in a task completion environment to ensure daily goals are met.
  • General mechanical knowledge

 

 

Additional Requirements:

 

Able (or willing to learn) to use power and manual hand tools, saws, drill presses, sanders, threading machine, pipe benders, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, shears; soldering, brazing, welding and cutting equipment, mechanical taping equipment, ladders and scaffolding, hoists, cranes and industrial vehicles; wet/dry cleaning equipment; hydraulic jacks and bearing pullers; electric/electronic and mechanical fitting equipment; vacuum pumps, thermocouples; two way radios; measuring and testing equipment such as scales; thermometers, gauges, micrometers, laser alignment tools, voltmeters, electric motor megohmmeters.

 

The employee is required to stand, walk, climb, and sit through-out the workday. He or she is also required to use hands to handle and feel objects, tools, and controls, and reach above the head. The employee must lift and move varying weights. Specific vision abilities required for the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to tolerate atmospheric temperatures, both hot and cold depending on time of season.
