Overview

REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production.  We have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.  We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.  This position is located in MISSISSAUGA, CANADA.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for providing Human Resources support and leadership for the Mississauga facility.  This role will ensure HR strategies are implemented including driving talent management. The position is also responsible for growing and sustaining a culture of teamwork across the facility while operating as an effective business partner for the Mississauga team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related degree.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in HR related field
  • Prior experience in union environment preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, provincial laws, employment laws, labor laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to understand the operational and financial functions of the business.
  • Ability to use computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, databases and email.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to proactively handle issues.
  • Travel as necessary (minimum approximately 10%)
